Night clubs have always been a craze among the youngsters, who just want to have fun and dance till they drop. But with growing numbers of night clubs every year, many good nightclubs also witness downfall in footfalls. Nightclub owners have been thinking over it, about getting new DJs, playing grooving music, offering special rates; but still not maintaining a consistent loyalty. What can be done? Here are few effective tips for your help.
Reach out your target audience; i.e. the youngsters regularly. Don’t forget you can ‘only’ make them crazy about your club. Spread pamphlets about each weekend attraction at sports clubs, fitness clubs, and college cafeterias or outside colleges, movie theaters, coffee shops, salons or wherever the youth are frequent to. You may put up posters in different places where youngsters are found.
Most of the nightclubs offer special DJ attractions on weekends. To pull the crowd further, you may offer something more. Like on weekends special DJs will come over and play, and will choose a lovely couple dancing on the floor and dedicate one hour long songs for the couple exclusively; while keeping the couple always under the focus light. Or the DJ may simply choose a lucky couple who appear to be best dancer and much in love; for his or her next music album poster.
You may also run come lucky draw contest for the club visitors. Or you may choose the best dressed couple or most stylish couple who gets free unlimited drink for the evening. Many youngsters will surely go to the nightclub in hope of winning free drink and get the recognition of best couple. Make the winners wear crowns of your night club’s logo.
Everyone wants to feel like a star, like a celebrity and see their pictures in newspaper and magazine. It can be a great weapon of your club’s promotion. Tie up with hot selling newspaper of the town, who offer a special page dedicated to the club culture or parties of the town. Such attraction will draw more and more people to your nightclub. It can be a random photo session and lucky one may get to see their pictures in next day newspaper or it can be much more hard earned, by keeping this privilege reserved for the ones who make a beautiful couple together or rock the dance floor or impress the DJ. A picture along with name of the winner in national newspaper – who would not love such celebrity status?
Before anyone else makes these happen, get started!

There’s nothing like postcard marketing, as it hits the target market directly and that too at a small cost. Nice postcard marketing always brings in great rewards, recurring business, favorable image and high brand recall. Best part of postcard marketing is its extremely cost-effective nature. A good marketing strategy coupled with an excellent design can ensure successful postcard campaign.
Mapping the right target audience is the most crucial part of postcard marketing. The marketer should know whom to reach. Once the target audience is mapped, it’s very convenient to figure out their taste and preferences, needs and wants. Thereby communication can be altered accordingly. Recipient can be individual person or a company. Don’t send postcards randomly to a big number of uninterested people. Even if your target group is small in number, stick to it and communicate effectively.
Normal brand advertising is often ignored. People generally respond much better to campaign which contains attractive offers like – free gifts, free samples, free consultation, lucky draw coupons. The word ‘Free’ easily grabs attention of the reader. So always try to associate your campaign with an attractive offer. As for example a postcard saying ‘Get to know your skin type. Call us today for a free expert consultation and guidance’ gets more effective response than a campaign saying ‘Skin Expert, call @ XXXXX’. An offer adds spice to the campaign and draws in huge number of phone calls and email responses.
An effective hard-hitting headline, call to action words and signing off lines like ‘last date of sending entries’ and the like deadlines are must for an advertisement campaign. These words not only grab attention, but also arouse interest and help in purchase decision. An effective headline is soul of a campaign, grabs attention in the first look. A call to action word like ‘Buy now’ guides one towards the end decision and act as incentive. Do not use difficult words; rather stick to simple yet effective words. You can also include a deadline, like till when the offer will be valid. It sets an urgency to react.
A good marketing campaign is often marred by a poor design. A good design not only grabs attention, but also makes the reader concentrate in the postcard and preserve it for long. An exceptional design innovation can make the campaign instant popular.
Once the campaign is ready, test it in a small market. If the trial goes fine, launch it all over your market. If it brings good response and revenue repeat it again.

As we discussed in an earlier post, organizing or sponsoring a contest is a very effective way to pull visitors to your blog. We also discussed that contests could be divided into two broad categories — based on the nature of human involvement — Content-based contest and click-based contest.
We will take that discussion forward in this article, and we will talk here about 3 content-based contests that could help you skyrocket your blog’s readership.
This is one of the best contests to host. The idea is quite simple. Ask your visitors to post a comment in the comment box to get a chance to win the prize. Also remind them that each comment will get one entry into a lucky draw, so they can enter more than one comment to get more than one entry. At this point, do not forget to tell them just one-line generic comments will either get filtered out by your spam filter, or will be weeded out by your staff. Remind them that the comment that will add to the discussion will only get accepted. Comment done just to get multiple entry and which does not take the discussion forward, even a bit, will automatically get disqualified.
This is another form of contest that you can run. Ask your readers to write a review for your website on their domain, in Facebook, or wherever they want, as long as it is written on the websites talking about topics like pornographic, abusive, racism, etc. make an e-mail ID, and ask them to send the URL to that mail ID. Promise the announcement of the result on your blog, and tell them that 3 best reviews will get the prize. To win the prize, it is important for them to include two links to your website in the review — one to the home page, and another to any other page. For deep lining, you can provide some options from your blog posts.
The third form of content-heavy contest is guess post writing contest. Ask you readers to write guest posts for you. Announce that the best written guest post will get the prize, and the second and the third ranked guest post will also get prize. To motivate them to write a guest post, tell your visitors that each guest post will be published, and writer will get the byline for the guest post along with 2 links back to their website, Facebook page, twitter, etc.
Content-based contests are time consuming, so the prize should be good, otherwise people will not get motivated to spend time on your blog.
