One of the most important things to getting your website found is to release a press release. Below are listed some great places to submit your press release, many of them have a free option that is ad supported.  We are testing each one of these press release services and will update this page whenever we have additional information or comments on the performance.  Also, in an effort to help the visitors to this page, we found a great blog with News Release Distribution Review.

24-7PressRelease.com – Free release distribution with ad-support
1888PressRelease – Free distribution, paid services gives you better placement and permanent archiving.

BigNews.Biz – Free service, they accept donations to keep the service free, try to give if you can. Each week they email your press releases out to over 7900, editors, writers, collector clubs bloggers and collectors who have subscribed to our service for the latest news about the art, antiques and collectibles trade.

ClickPress.com – Distributs to sites like Google News and Topix.net, Gold level will also get you to sites like LexisNexis.

EcommWire.com – Focuses on ecommerece and requires you include an image, 3 keywords and links.

Express-Press-Release.net – $29.00 distribution through offices in 12 states, 37 industry specific and PR Blogs.

Free-Press-Release.com – Easy press release distribution for free, more features for paid accounts.

Free-Press-Release-Center.info – Distributes your release, offers a web page with one keyword link to your site. Pro upgrade will give you three links, permanent archiving and more.

I-Newswire.com – Allows for free basic distribution to sites and search engines, premium membership removes ads increases distribution and alows the addition of Logo or graphics.

NewswireToday.com – All the usual free distribution tools, premium service includes logo, product picture and more.

PR.com – Not only will they distribute your press releases, but you can also set up a full company profile.

PR9.net – Seems to be free, but then when you go to manage it says Payment required, we willl see if it is free or not.  Ad supported press distribution site.

PR-Inside.com – European-based free press release distribution site. (I could not get passed the registration, they require you to send an SMS to an Australian phone number, I sent it about 5 times and the site still says they didn’t get the message.)

PRBuzz.com – Charges $299 per year for press release distribution.

PRUrgent.com – Not only distributes your release, but attempts to teach you how to write one, and even offers downloadbale samples for you to work with.  They offer a basic free submission and two upgrade plans, the first for $9.95 and the second SEO optimized for $25. They do not have a preview of your press release so you will just have to hope everything is correct.

PressAbout.com – A free press release service formatted as a blog. We tried to register here, but it says it will send you a password, but password never comes and you click the retrieve password and you get an error that mail is disabled.  We will try again later, if it still doesn’t work we will delete this link.

PRLeap.com – Charges per release and has three plans Basic $49, Plus $99, Premium $149.

PRLog.org – Free distribution to Google News and other other search engines.

TheOpenPress.com – Gives free distribution for plain formatted releases, fees for HTML-coded releases.

PRWeb – Not free but very popular.

PressReleasePoint.com – This is a services that submits your press release to about 50 free press release distribution services.
