This is the third and last post that will try again to convince the non-twitteres to join the big league.

Reason 1: To follow your favorite celebrity

We all strive to know more about our favorite movie star, favorite sports star, politicians, etc., and our need to know more about them is fulfilled by magazines, news papers, televisions, and grapevine. None of the mediums are reliable. They feed us lie, but twitter does not because on twitter we can directly here from what celebrities has to say about themselves and their colleagues. Follow the celebrity that got batch of authentication from twitter.

Reason 2: To follow online celebrities

Celebrities are not made in Hollywood and sports alone. There are many online celebs that are worth following, in other words, following these celebrities is worth more than following some Hollywood guys or girls. Online celebs are people who have made it big on the Internet.

Reason 3: To follow your favorite website or blog

Twitter has become a regular in any marketing plan, which means the website or blog you read must be on twitter. Following them will give you information about updates on each one of them directly in your twitter.

Reason 4: Follow events and conferences

As I said, most of them who matter are on twitter. Hence, following twitter will also keep you in the know about development on any event. It will also tell you who has said or saying what in the conference, and if you are the organizer of any event or conference, you will get to know what attendees think about it.

Reason 5: To learn something new

I read something on the Internet, got excited by it, and decided to share, so I twitted it. This is how many people are using twitter, which has turned twitter into a big referral system. From here, you can learn about whatever you want. Twitter has become a gigantic learning center.

This is the final post in 5 Ways to Improve Your Writing series. In this post, I will talk about how to get new ideas for writing. The ideas I am going to discuss here will not only give you matters to write upon, but it will also bring depth in your writing.

Spice up your life

Try different things. Indulge in different activities. Bring newness to your life. The more experience you will gain the better and deeper your writing will become. If you want to make career in writing then be prepared to experience as many things as you can. Do not foster any inhibition.

Read literature from different culture

If you do not know any other language other than English then read the translated version, but read as many books from as many cultures as you can. This will deepen your insight into human life, values, rites and rituals, customs, traditions, and lifestyle, etc. This knowledge will help you bring depth and variety to your characters.

Deconstruct books

Have you ever thought what made a certain book so successful, and why some fictions are held as masterpiece? What is that one thing that is making one book reach to your heart? You can know this by analyzing and reflecting on the books that you like. Deconstruct books, stories and articles to see how it was created.

Learn the story wireframe

To be a better story writer, you need to know about the principal, construction, and architecture of a story. Once you know the framework on which a story is set, chances of your writing a good story will increase manifolds.

Learn Metaphors and read stories

Human thinks and communicate in metaphors and the richer your metaphor’s repertoire is the better your expression will be. Communicating everything in crude way is not the sensibility a writer is known for. To be a good writer, you need to be subtle. You need the art to say things even without saying anything else. Read famous lines, quotations, stories, and sayings. You will find each one of them filled with rich metaphors. Learn the art and practice it in your writing.

The beauty of art lies in precision of techniques, attentions to details, and appropriate use of devices. This holds true with writing as well. In this article, I will share 5 tips that will make your writing appear like an art form.

Find an audience and kill them

Well, this is known to all the fiction writers, especially poets. Nobody likes to read or listen to anyone else’s piece, until and unless he is Dan Brown or Paulo Coelho. It will take some persuading before you can read your work to anyone, even to your cat, but you must do it, in order to figure out the issues with your writing. For now, you just need listeners, not their feedbacks.

Discount 10 percent words

This is something worth doing. I know you will feel the pang as everyone of us does, but always remember your goal is not to create a piece full of sentences, but to create a beautiful work of art with only required number of sentences. Do not fall in love with sentences; fall in love with your overall piece, and attempt to make the whole piece look good.

A good writer takes cues from the real life, and listening to others will give you many. Overhear others, if you need to, because you can get the best insight only by becoming invisible observer.

Not only the contents of their talks are important, but the style used to convey the message is equally important. This will tell you how to say it.

To make your writing shine like the writing of masters, you will need to study the works of great writers. Do not limit yourself to reading great writers, read bad ones as well. To be able to differentiate chaff from wheat, you need to know what is what.
